Welcome to Cooking '13!

Today is our first day of Spring Phase for 2013, and we spent the day buying copious amounts of groceries and purchasing plants for our culinary herb garden.  I'm looking forward to learning how to cook Filipino food with Dr. Lansang on 5/14, and our yearly trip to Well-Sweep Herb Farm is something I anticipate with excitement (if only I could get ALL the plants!).  Of course, Mr. Rodriguez and I look forward to winning at spades while we're up at the trail.

What are you looking forward to this spring phase?

  2. After yesterday's first cooking class I am looking forward to learning how to cook/ bake a variety of foods. I am excited about going to the trail to cook for people who would not ordinarily have decent food to devour. Probably the most interesting dish I want to learn is the burgers with the cheese inside. This spring phase shall be epic!

  3. In this spring phase I am looking forward to learning on being a better cook. My goal is to be able to cook more than just pancakes and make a bowl of cereal and not burn the food that I make. After this class I hope to be able to make what I learned for my family so my dad can stop complaining that I can't cook. Hopefully by the end of this class I will be a better cook.

  4. The first day on the job was a very eye opening and inspirational one. I now found my new born talent of cracking eggs. Also the food was amazing and I am eager to continue learning how to make different types of food in this class as well.

  6. In this project I am looking forward in learning new dishes and recipes to share with my family. Also stepping out of my comfort zone, this will allow me to explore different cultures cuisines.
