It's time for Cooking '14!

Every time I speak at an open house, I call Spring Phase the most wonderful time of the year.  I'll be shopping at Christmas Tree Stores for supplies during Easter break, and Ian and I already looked at some cupcakes on the Hello Cupcake app we'll be using to bake gourmet cupcakes.  Guest chefs are being lined up (thank you, Dr. Lansang!) and field trips scheduled, and new challenges are in our future (making fancy garnishes).  I'm looking forward to learning new techniques and recipes, as well as experiencing all the fun that inevitably happens up at the trail.

What are you looking forward to this Spring Phase?  What are you hoping to learn and experience?

  2. For this Spring Phase I am looking forward to trying new types of foods and making things I never really thought about making. I am also looking forward the fun we'll have during the three day. I am hoping to learn how things are cooked and experience how foods of different cultures taste.

  3. After this long year of tiring work study, I am so looking for to this spring phase more than ever. For instance this is the first year where I would learn how to cook. I realized this class would help me learn the basics of cooking which will result in advancing my skills. These skills that I will learn will help me out when I cook for my family. What I am hoping to learn is cook mostly asian food because you can never go wrong with that. But I know that is a hard task but I know with my efforts I can complete it. I would also like to experience a new way to cook and cook with other.

  4. This spring phase I am excited to be joining the cooking project which will help me gain the skills to wow my mom and prove to her that I can cook something that won't burn. I believe cooking comes from the soul and the heart. The goal for me is to cook a big meal by myself for my mom and girlfriend.

  5. This spring will no doubt be a time of fun, laughter and hard work. What i aim to get out of this class is what i deem to be the most important life skill anyone could have. cooking edible food! and not merely edible food, but really good food. Since I'll soon be on my way to college i feel that this skill can help in both my personal and social life and it's just awesome to always have great food at your fingertips.

  6. I've always been interested in cooking, since I eat a lot, and my family always made it look easy so I wanted to try it too. I think this class will be a great opportunity to try, while not risking messing up a meal. I hope to learn something in two weeks.
