Spring Phase 2015 Begins

We had our first trip to Pathmark and our first (and last!) trip to Chipotle.  I know you all enjoyed that  part.  So, I have two questions:
1.  What did you learn to do at Pathmark that you didn't know before?
2.  What do you hope to learn in this project?

  1. I learned how to look for the best prices on goods. And I just want to learn how to cook basic dishes.

  5. At Pathmark I learned the difference between a bell pepper and a hot one. I hope that by the end of the project I will be able to cook a whole 3 course meal.

  6. During my travel to and around Pathmark, I was able to pick up a few skills to apply to my personal shopping. These skills included utilizing the unit pricing, paying attention to sales, as well as picking out the right choice. It can get very frustrating when looking for a fruit without dents in it, but in the long run it acts as an important factor in cooking.

Throughout this course, I plan to recieve a numerous amount of ideas, skills, and cooking choices to benefit myself as well as those who eat my food. I hope to get better at making difficult meals and to impress people with my abilities in the kitchen.

  7. At Pathmmark I learned that the unit price is completely different than the tag price. One has to calculate the cost of the product in order to save money. What I expect to learn in this class is to be exposed to different foods to try and make cooking at home fun.

  8. At Pathmark I learned to look at the unit price instead of just putting things in the cart like I usually do. I hope to learn how to cook different types of food that taste great.
